Projector — Quick guide

This guide walks you through using the projector — from powering on to starting your film.

Important: Our projector is the Chinese version. Even with English selected as the system language, some menus still display Chinese characters. This guide shows you exactly which buttons to press.

In 5 steps

Quick start

If you're in a hurry: these steps are enough for movie night.

  1. Get the projector from the cabinet

The projector, remote and power cable are in the living-room cabinet.

Tip: Always carry the projector with both hands — the lens at the front is delicate.

  2. Set up & plug in

Best spots: House wall by the pool or roof terrace using a white curtain.

Plug the power cable into the wall, the other end into the projector.

  3. Power on

[To be added: which button on the device or remote]

The projector takes about 30 seconds before the picture appears.

  4. Focus & alignment

[To be added: auto-focus or manual focus, keystone correction]

The projector usually auto-focuses — just wait a moment.

  5. Start your film

Cast from your phone or use an app — see Streaming below.

Where & how

Setup positions

The two best spots

🎬 House wall by the pool
The classic. Big picture, perfect for films after sunset. Put the projector on a stable table or stool, about [distance to be added] metres from the wall.

🌅 Roof terrace with white curtain
More intimate, sheltered from the wind. Use one of the white curtains as a screen. Place the projector on the dining table.

Focus & image correction

[To be added: auto-focus behaviour, manual correction if needed, keystone]

Volume & sound

The projector has built-in speakers. For better sound, pair one of the Bluetooth speakers.

Playing content

Streaming & cast

Important: This is the Chinese version of the projector. Some menus display Chinese characters — follow the illustrations below.

From iPhone / iPad (AirPlay)

[To be added: AirPlay step-by-step — if supported]

From Android phone (Cast / Miracast)

[To be added: cast steps for Android]

From laptop (HDMI cable)

[To be added: HDMI input on the projector + which source button]

USB stick (films as files)

[To be added: USB slot, which file types are supported]

Streaming apps directly on the projector

[To be added: which apps are pre-installed, which work?]

Heads up: Because it's the Chinese firmware, Netflix, Disney+ & co. may not work directly on the projector. We recommend casting from your phone as the easiest route.

After the film

Power off & pack away

  1. Turn the projector off

[To be added: which button, confirmation needed?]

⚠️ Important: Don't just unplug the projector! It needs a short cool-down (the fan keeps running for a few seconds).
  2. Let it cool down

Wait about 1-2 minutes until the fan stops.

  3. Unplug & put back in the cabinet

Projector, remote and cable back into the living-room cabinet — please don't leave them outside (dew / rain).

Safety & care

⚠️ Never look directly into the lens!
The Hisense C2 Ultra is a laser projector. The beam is very bright and can damage your eyes — please be especially careful with children.

What the projector doesn't like

Cleaning

Don't wipe the lens with cloths — only compressed air (in the cabinet) or a microfibre cloth. Please do not open the projector.
